Jack's Wife Freda is one of my favorite "cute-NYC-brunch-places-you-see-on-Instagram" bistros. My fiancee brought me here for my birthday this year to buy me a delicious brunch in between classes. My birthday fell on a Wednesday when I have classes from 8am to 9pm (lol), so I really appreciated him coming around to school just to give me my birthday gifts and spend some time with me before I headed off to classes again.
The menu consists of all-day breakfast, salads, some selective but cute entrees, sandwiches, and drinks! Price is typical of New York City brunch places, definitely not cheap but you're paying for the cute environment and unique dishes.
Matt decided to go for a chicken kebob dish that comes with some quinoa and veggies and I went with an avocado toast with salmon. As much as I hate being basic and ordering avocado toasts everywhere, it's just a fail-proof meal option - and it was my birthday! I wanted to get something special (a.k.a. basic AF). The restaurant is small and really loud (too many people in a small place - but what can you do, it's New York), but the servers are kind and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a visit in my book.
As always, thank you so much for visiting and reading my blog.
